CHEMISCHE FABRIK TÜBINGEN (UK) Ltd were incorporated in 1974 as a wholly owned subsidiary of their main German parent, after operating previously through an agency for a number of years.
In the beginning the main sales development was in the core competence area which was pre treatment chemicals for the textile industry.
Today the site of CHT UK at Hazel Grove, just outside Manchester facilitates the manufacture a diverse range of chemical auxiliaries for a number of industries and applications as the company has followed the German parent`s lead in diversifying into a number of new but allied chemistries and product areas.
CHT UK was the first daughter company within the expanding CHT/BEZEMA Group to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation (at the time BS 5750) in 1993.
Today CHT UK employ 20 people with 4 involved in production, 3 in the laboratories and quality control, 6 in administration, 6 in sales and a Managing Director.
The manufacturing facility at Hazel Grove is supported by a fully equipped quality and technical services laboratory, warehousing and own transport.
CHT UK is headed up by Managing Director, Andrew Thompson who is in his 18th year at CHT UK after previously serving time as a Technical Sales Representative, Sales and Marketing Manager and latterly Sales Director.

Doug Hilton joined CHT UK in 1996 after the parent company’s acquisition of Hansa Goldschmidt GMBH and specialises in the sales of Performance Chemicals to a number of industries including personal and home care, Agro Chemicals and Car Care adducts as well as primary and secondary spinning lubricants.
Mark Stapleton joined CHT UK in 2000 from the textile coating industry and now specialises in all aspects of fabric and garment printing chemicals as well as flock. More recently Mark has taken over responsibility for Plastic Bottle washing chemicals.
Steve Flowers joined CHT UK in 1997 as an expert in garment processing and dyeing. He now is the BDM for Core Textile Auxiliaries and Dyestuffs for the UK and Ireland.
Phil Stevenson is another recent addition to the team starting in 2009 and covers Textile Care Chemical sales primarily in the South of England.
Paul Briars joined CHT UK in October 2011 to support our Sales development in Textile Care.Paul has vast experience in the installation and servicing of dosing systems and will be responsible for Textile Care chemical sales in the Midlands and North of the UK.
Marc Cox joined CHT UK Ltd in January 2011 from amajor manufacturer of Construction Chemicals to establish sales of Gypsum, Cement and Paint additives to the UK and ROI markets.
